This post reports to Ramp Senior Executive
Responsible for working as an individual or as part of a team to safely undertake all manual and technical ground handling activities, and the providing, driving & operating of diverse technical equipment for which he is qualified and licensed.
In charge for the complete Ground Support Equipment operational activities while his shift is on duty.
Responsible for managing the allocated resources (both staff and equipment) for the accurate processing and on time dispatch of flights.
Responsible for the safe and punctual operation of aircraft ground handling activities in line with the Royal jet and various customer airline requirements, while ensuring that the highest levels of Customer Service are consistently being delivered.
Responsible for overseeing the safe and expeditious ramp activities and arrange remedial actions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure the serviceability of GS Equipment prior positioning it onto the aircraft.
Arrange the required equipment at the staging area prior to the arrival / departure of the aircraft.
Position aircraft wheel chocks and safety cones and connect the GS Equipment. Service the aircraft as per the SOP while exercising all the safety regulations and procedures.
Operate aircraft cargo hold doors and loading / offloading cargo
Operate emergency evacuation system and remove the equipment in case of equipment malfunction.
Flight Deck – Ground communication via headset.
Pushback / Towing as necessary.
Water & Toilet Servicing as per the SOP and according to the customer’s standing instructions.
Proper handover / takeover of both equipment and aircrafts during shift changeover.
Communicate the equipment and timings details to his supervisor in order to prepare the flight handling sheets and to charge them accordingly.
Daily briefing to the staff about operational and safety aspects.
Administer the Ramp operational office
Conduct the Preflight and post flight briefings.
Prepare the flight handling sheets to charge the chargeable services provided to the customers.
Prepare handover / takeover reports for both equipment and aircrafts during shift changeover.
Formal Education Required: Completion of High School with courses in Mathematics or General Sciences. Preferably holds Diploma in Aviation or Business Administration.
- Hold Airport Driving Permit/license from a recognized airport
- Basic knowledge of different type of aircraft
- Operational Training Standards Courses.
- Ramp Safety Awareness Course.
- Basic knowledge of different type of aircraft.
- 5 years Ground Operations experience with minimum of 2 years as a senior operator.
